The development of Envirotainer has been driven by the desire to eliminate the adverse effects of temperature on pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs. In fact, a case of severe food poisoning in the family of one of the founders was the event that set things in motion. Realizing that the weakest link in the cold chain was the air transportation led to the first of many inventions and breakthroughs.
