The following rules apply to any matters arising from the difficult weather conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy. If your booking is affected, please make sure to notify Envirotainer as soon as possible and provide the shipment information listed below. Note that standard rules apply for business that is not affected.
Existing bookings - Cancellations
For all orders received with start of lease before, or equal to, October 31st 2012, which were placed before, or equal to, October 28th 2012, we will waive the cancellation fee if the customer needs to cancel due to the difficult weather conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Ongoing shipments - Long lease duration
Long leases will be handled as normal. In cases where the Lessee claims Force Majeure on an individual lease level, the lessee can be compensated.
If you are a lessee, we kindly ask you to provide the following information:
- Order Number
- Trade Lane
- Requested # of days affected due to Force Majeure
- Referring to Force Majeure including the reason for Force Majeure
