Nippon Express first Japanese forwarder to be QEP Accredited

July 5, 2012

Envirotainer and its partners continuously work to improve efficiency for the healthcare industry in Japan by providing training and technology to simplify the way products are safely transported to and from Japan. The requirement for a robust cold chain solution when shipping sensitive and high value goods to and from Japan - a country exposed to both very cold winters and very hot summers – means Envirotainer’s e-technology is a perfect solution, providing both heating and cooling. This makes it the preferred choice for the industry.

The national airlines play an equally important role to enable trade, and airlines such as JAL Cargo, ANA Cargo and NCA provide excellent connectivity between key pharmaceutical manufacturing areas. Envirotainer is proud to have been a leading provider to Japanese airlines and freight forwarders for more than 15 years.

A fine example is Nippon Express. As Japan’s leading freight forwarder, they continue to offer sophisticated logistical solutions backed by one of the world’s largest global logistics networks.

Nippon Express is thoroughly committed to meeting globally recognized certification standards and strives to establish their leadership within the global logistics industry by pursuing certification of its locations worldwide. This is one of the reasons Nippon Express chose to partner with Envirotainer and sign a Master Lease Agreement, as Envirotainer has developed the Qualified Envirotainer Provider (QEP) and Certified Envirotainer Partner (CEP) Training and Quality Program, at the request of healthcare manufacturers and in response to industry guidance.

Through this rigorous process, Nippon Express was successfully accredited as the first Japanese Partner to gain Envirotainer QEP status in Narita, Haneda and Osaka with other stations in Asia, the US and Europe set to follow.
