South African exporters to gain from
new Envirotainer General Sales Agent

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 3, 2005 – Envirotainer, world leader in the development, manufacture and leasing of temperature controlled airfreight containers, has announced further expansion of its General Sales Agency network with the appointment of Airline Cargo Resources (ACR) in South Africa.
This is part of Envirotainer’s strategy to increase its global representation in order to satisfy the needs of international customers. In 2004, the Swedish organisation appointed Grupo Fidalex SA in Mexico as its first GSA partner and, in January this year, Global Fresh Logistics became responsible for marketing Envirotainer’s container leasing services to customers in Singapore and Malaysia.
With offices covering Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, ACR already provides ground handling services for Envirotainer. In its extended role, it will sell the full range of container leasing services to South African exporters as well as Envirotainer’s recently-launched Cold Chain Management services.
The new GSA contract takes effect in March 2005.
Commenting on the appointment, Magnus Welander, CEO of Envirotainer, said: “South Africa is an important and growing market for Envirotainer. The co-operation between Envirotainer and ACR will allow South African shippers and freight forwarders transporting temperature controlled commodities such as perishable foods, healthcare and bioscience commodities to ensure products arrive at their destination in the optimum condition.
