What made you interested in Envirotainer?
Working 15 years in the airfreight industry, I viewed Envirotainer to be the omnipresence as the cold chain solution provider. The first time I got in touch with Envirotainer was in 2000. Previously, I was working for the ground handling agent of Envirotainer with tasks of inventory, release and return checks. Later in my career as Cargo Manager Switzerland, I was tasked to implement and develop the pharma active product. During this time, the cooperation with Envirotainer was essential, which lead me with opportunities to get involved with different stakeholders within the company.
What earlier experiences and knowledge do you bring to the Cold Chain market?
By having experience from the airlines, I supported and helped develop the product for new customers. More importantly, there is a mutual understanding of the stakeholder needs within the supply chain industry: planning, availability, reliability, and awareness of handling are essential for an efficient transportation.
How does a day in your work life look?
As a Global Partner Manager EMEA, my partners at HQ are based in EMEA; however, the interactions are across the globe. Because we have a strong team-spirit within Envirotainer, I often support my local sales colleagues, the key account management team, and our operations team, who are the bread and butter of what we do. We also build enterprise teams, which includes people from all continents.
What does trustworthiness mean to you?
Trustworthiness is an absolute key, both internally and externally. This is a needed interpersonal skill as our business success is driven by people. Naturally, I am a person who likes to bring value to people's lives so when I heard Envirotainer has this same value, I felt like it was a good fit.
What advice would you give to future colleagues?
I think we should never forget the history where Envirotainer came from. By engaging with experienced colleagues about the company and to hear their success stories, I felt it helped me a lot to understand the company even more and it left me really inspired. In addition, it's good to learn the buzzwords since they are all over the exhibitions on pharmaceuticals supply chain events and the cold chain industry itself. For example, these buzzwords include transparency, data, blockchain, and 3D printers.
