How to Lease

To support you with safety, speed and flexibility throughout the transportation of your products, we provide you with more than just a dewar. When you lease an Envirotainer CryoSure® dry ice solution it always arrives ready-to-use. No box assembly or dry ice refills are needed. With superior duration and unmatched performance, CryoSure® delivers your most treasured pharmaceutical products in perfect condition.

Planning and Preparation

The CryoSure® family comes in a range of different sizes to suit your shipment needs. The sizes vary in load, space, dimension, and duration. Choose a size that fits your product requirements. The load space dimensions are listed in the table below.

Example case:

You need to ship a bottle shape product containing UN3373 biologicals, the diameter is 5,5 cm and the height is 14 cm. The bottle needs to be packaged in a secondary leak proof bag to follow the UN3373 standard. Both the X1 and the X2 can support the product size as they share diameter on the load space but vary in length and duration.

With the desired shipping lane, delivery time and in total three customs clearance processes, this favors the X2 model with 21 days duration, giving ample autonomy to clear customs, without unnecessary load space of the X5 and X11.
Where there is a need to perform qualification of the solution, Envirotainer have documented test results covering relevant scenarios, including temperature profiles, handling, and standards. Documents supporting the qualification process are available online on Envirotainer Portal. Envirotainer Cold Chain Managers are dedicatedly supporting our customers with the qualification process and SOP creation.

Placing an order

You can easily create and follow your order in the Envirotainer Portal. Based on the volume and requirements of your goods, you can choose the type and number of dewars you need for your specific shipment.

Place your order by logging on to Envirotainer Portal with your user credentials.

Create an accoount

When logged in, go to the main menu and choose CryoSure Orders - Create Order and fill in the required information.

Changes to the Order Request: An order request can, up until two Business Days before Start of Lease, be changed, provided that the changes can be handled within Envirotainer’s normal business operations without additional expense. An updated Order Confirmation will be issued.

Changes to Order during the Lease Period: You may want to make changes to your order during the Lease Period, eg request to change the time and place of the requested pickup date for the return of the Equipment, add transportation service and/or extend the lease period. An updated Order Confirmation will be issued.

Changes that require additional expense for Envirotainer may be subject to a charge.
Same Day Release offers you the possibility to place an order before 12 pm, regional time, and Envirotainer dispatches the order in the same day.
Cancellation of an order can be made 2 days prior to the start of lease with no fee. If cancelation is requested after the cutoff time, the base lease price and any unrecoverable costs may be subject to an order cancellation charge.
Envirotainer aims to confirm orders within one working day after receipt. Changes in orders are subject to new order confirmations.

Transportation and Post-shipment

Lease Details

Flexible and Predictable Commercial model. A minimum lease period of 8 days applies for all CryoSure® orders. After the 8th day and until the order is returned to one of our CryoSure® stations, a "price per day" fee will apply to the order depending on the type of the CryoSure® model.
After creating your order in the Envirotainer Portal, Envirotainer prepares your CryoSure unit with dry ice, any additional services selected, such as live monitoring or shipment report, and dispatches the unit according to your order. The unit can either be collected from our station by your designated logistics partner or released to Envirotainer's delivery partner if you have chosen the Delivery service. The lease starts when the unit is released from Envirotainer’s care.
After your usage of the CryoSure® the unit needs to be returned to Envirotainer. Your order can either be returned to one of our CryoSure® stations by your designated logistics partner or collected from your requested pickup location if you have chosen the Pickup service. The pick-up service needs to be ordered when placing the order in the Envirotainer Portal. With the pick-up service, Envirotainer will book freight, include return shipping labels, necessary documentation and will schedule a pick-up after being notified by the lessee or consignee.
The lease period is calculated from release of your CryoSure® order from our Envirotainer station until the full return of the CryoSure® order to Envirotainer. When using the pick-up service, the return date is calculated based on the pick-up date, the pickup location, and the expected transit time. Eg. Most locations within EU/US will have a 1-day transit time.
Unless otherwise agreed in a separate written agreement between Lessee and Envirotainer, Envirotainer’s standard terms and conditions for the lease of a container shall apply. For more information about the Master Lease agreement, please contact your local sales representative.

Shipment Monitoring Services

The DuraWatch® service is included in all shipments and allows you to check the remaining dry ice duration for your specific CryoSure® unit, at any point during the shipment. The DuraWatch service can easily be accessed by scanning the QR code on the outside of the box with a smart device or via Envirotainer Portal.
The Controlant tracker can be added to your CryoSure order and provides you with real time visibility of your shipment. You can follow the real-time information about probe temperature, shipment location and any box opening during the shipment in Envirotainer Portal. The device logs data every 10 minutes, and you will see the updated information every second hour.
The Logmore device can be added to your CryoSure® order and provides you with real-time visibility of the probe temperature during the whole shipment. The data is available at any time during the lease by scanning the QR code with any smart device. A full shipment report is available in Envirotainer Portal after lease. The data is logged every 10 minutes.
Access to Live Monitoring can be shared with your customer through Envirotainer Portal. You have the possibility to allow the shipper to view the data, provided that the correct shipper is assigned.
