CryoSure® Quick introduction

1. A complete CryoSure® system is comprised of the following components:
A.Dewar
B.Product space
C.Security seal
D.Insulation lid
E.Foam insert
F.Cardboard box
G.Product holder X2 & X5
H.Product holder X11
I.Logger shipment report – Optional
J.Tracker Live monitoring – Optional

2. Keep the dewar in the box

3. In the box / in the pouch attached to the box you will find the following documents:
One (1) Blank UN 1845 / Class 9 label for shipping of good
One (1) UN 1845 / Class 9 label for Pick-up of the CryoSure, marked PICKUP
If shipment cross boarder: Three (3) copies of the Invoice
 • 1 copies in the box
 • 2 in the document pouch on the outside of the box
If pick up service is ordered: One (1) Shipment label for pick-up
One (1) Delivery note

4. Alway use safety gloves when load and un-load CryoSure

5. The following devices may be added and booked on the Envirotainer® Portal. The tracking device will be secured in a special compartment within the protective foam packaging on the inside of the box as part of the Live Monitoring services. The temperature logger device will be mounted on the neck of the dewar as part of the Shipment Report services. Either one will be attached with our fixed probe solution


Load the product

1. Open the box and set aside the top foam.

2. Cut the security seal.

3. Wearing safety gloves, remove and set aside the lid.

4. If a product holder is used, remove the product holder from the CryoSure.

5. Load the product into the product holder or directly into the CryoSure.

6. Place the product holder inside the CryoSure.

7. Place the lid back.

8. Secure the lid with a new security seal.

9. Place the top foam back in place and seal the box using adhesive tape.


Preparing for the shipment

1. Cover or remove all labels and stickers attached on the outside of the box, they must be covered or removed completely.

2. Apply a new class 9 (UN1845) for the main shipment, found in the “main shipment” envelope.

3. If applicable, apply other labels to the exterior of the box in accordance with government regulations and carrier requirements.

4. Close and seal the cardboard box with a clear tape.


Unloading the product

1. Open the box and set aside the top foam.

2. Cut the security seal.

3. Wearing safety gloves, remove and set aside the lid.

4. If a product holder is used, remove the product holder from the CryoSure.

5. Unload the product into the product holder or directly into the CryoSure.

6. Place the product holder inside the CryoSure.

7. Place the lid and top foam, and temperature logger (if applicable) back in place.


Returning your CryoSure shipment

1. Remove any biological product or materials and associated packaging from the CryoSure®. Leave the dry-ice.

2. Make sure to include the tracking device or temperature logger when returning the CryoSure® system.

3. Remove labels and stickers attached to the box that have been used in previous shipments. Use cover stickers, found inside the “return” envelope, to cover old labels.

4. Apply the class 9 (UN1845) label where Envirotainer is notified as the Consignee on the box. Included in the box if Pick-up is ordered.

5. Apply the document pouch, found inside the “return” envelope, which includes both the return shipping label and copies of the commercial invoice, if applicable. Envirotainer will be notified as SHIP TO, if pick-up is ordered.

6. If applicable, apply other labels to the exterior of the box in accordance with government regulations and carrier requirements.

7. Include four (4) copies of the commercial invoice, one (1) inside the box, and three (3) in the document pouch, if applicable.

8. Close the cardboard box, and seal with a clear tape.

9. E-mail support@envirotainer.com to inform that the unit is ready for pick-up. Include the following in the e-mail:
• Order number
• Number of units
• Date and time range available for pick-up
Your CryoSure will be picked up on the date that has aggreed on.


Using a temperature logger

1. Two different temperature monitoring devices can be used together with CryoSure. This is Logmore that is used for shipment report.

2. Two different temperature monitoring devices can be used together with CryoSure. This is Controllant that is used for live monitoring.

3. When loading and unloading the product make sure that the cord to the temperature probes are inserted in the slid of the lid and that the temperature probe is placed in the product space.
