11 years of 100% renewable electricity in production

We’ve proudly maintained a 100% renewable electricity supply for our production in Sweden for the 11th consecutive year, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to sustainable operations.

Transitioning complex, energy-intensive production to fully renewable power requires long-term investment and rigorous planning. As one integrated company, we remain committed to maintaining this through a mix of direct renewable sourcing and renewable electricity certificates.

Even as we grow, one commitment remains unchanged:

100% renewable electricity in production

Our Science Based Targets (SBTs) guide every step we take to cut emissions where it matters most. In 2025, we reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions through smarter energy use and renewable electricity, while Scope 3 emissions improved thanks to lower material demand and more efficient logistics.

Key gains came from reducing air-based container repositioning and increasing the share of sea freight, helping us move more with less carbon.

Ahead of 2030 climate target for our direct emissions

Every year, we measure our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in line with the GHG Protocol. By achieving a 77.2% reduction in our direct operational emissions (Scope 1 & 2), we have already surpassed our 2030 milestone.
This means that our sustainability progress directly reduces your Scope 3 emissions, while ensuring your life-saving products are transported by a future-proof partner.

Clean energy across our global operations

We have rapidly expanded our renewable electricity footprint across the entire organization. Through a combination of directly sourced renewable electricity and the purchase of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), we achieved 100% renewable electricity across the group, including va-Q-tec.

This scale matters. From stations and service centres to offices and logistics operations, transitioning our global electricity use to renewable sources significantly lowers our overall emissions and strengthens the resilience of the cold chain.

“Addressing emissions isn’t a one-off effort, it’s a continuous discipline built into our daily work.”
