Solutions for every stage of the pharma lifecycle
Solutions for every stage of the pharma lifecycle
With 40 years of innovation, Envirotainer offers the most extensive portfolio in temperature-controlled pharma logistics, supporting every stage of the pharmaceutical lifecycle. Trusted by the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, we combine precision, reliability, and global reach to deliver exactly when and where it matters most.
AirTainer®: The industry’s lightest RKN for single-pallet excellence
AirTainer RKN is designed for customers who need uncompromised protection for single-pallet shipments, combining active temperature control with a lighter, more efficient design.
Equipped with integrated high-efficiency solar panels, AirTainer generates its own energy during transit, delivering reliable temperature control while reducing emissions by up to 45% per shipment compared to traditional active RKN solutions.
This is a transformative leap that allows you to hit your sustainability targets twice as fast without changing your flight lanes.
Quantifying our product carbon impact
Our Product Carbon Footprint results show that choosing the right solution for each shipment can deliver transformative carbon savings.
For single-pallet shipments, the AirTainer RKN, the lightest in the industry, emerges as the most efficient solution.
For shipments where resilience is critical, RelEye® RKN sets a new standard: while its advanced digital systems carry slightly higher emissions than AirTainer RKN, it is still far more carbon-efficient than other active solutions on the market, offering unmatched autonomy and real-time monitoring with 18 digital sensors.
RelEye®: The flagship in pharmaceutical integrity
The RelEye® family represents the pinnacle of cold chain technology. As a WHO-endorsed solution, it is designed for the most sensitive, high-value pharmaceutical cargo, where failure is not an option and transparency is guaranteed. Paired with our unique Live Monitoring and Control Tower services, it further reduces risk, helping prevent product loss and the need to discard medicines.
Advanced Active in WHO 2025 Guidelines: A new global benchmark for vaccine logistics
In 2025, the landscape of vaccine distribution changed. The World Health Organization (WHO) released its updated Guidelines for the International Packaging and Shipping of Vaccines, introducing a new, rigorous classification for temperature-controlled transport.
We are proud to announce that the RelEye® family has been officially recognized by the WHO as an “Advanced Active” container.
The WHO’s guidelines mark a milestone for the pharmaceutical cold chain, highlighting that active, data-driven, reusable packaging solutions are now the gold standard for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and sustainability of global vaccine shipments.
One size does not fit all
RelEye® is optimized for every mission
RelEye® RAP: The multi-pallet powerhouse
For large-scale distributions, the RelEye® RAP demonstrates the lowest emissions per transported volume in the industry, combining a lower cost-per-pallet with a reduced CO2 footprint per dose. By maximizing the internal payload space while maintaining a lean external profile, we ensure you move more medicine with less carbon.
Working with us means a right-size, right-impact logistics strategy - optimizing every cubic meter of your shipment while reducing the number of flights and the energy required per dose.
RelEye® RKN: Industry-leading autonomy
Launched last year, the RelEye® RKN is our most technologically independent solution, designed to navigate the most challenging global trade lanes without compromise. With up to 130 hours of autonomy, it maintains temperature control longer than any other active solution, without the need for recharging. This makes it ideal for humanitarian aid, relief shipments, and hard-to-reach destinations, supporting safe delivery in line with the WHO guidelines.
“Our customers’ needs are evolving, and we evolve with them. Sustainability is a core driver behind every innovation we bring to the market. By investing in high quality materials, lightweight design, and intelligent technology, we ensure our entire product portfolio delivers reliable performance year after year, while supporting the long term sustainability goals of our customers and the cold chain.”

Extend battery life
A truly sustainable supply chain doesn't just manage emissions; it manages materials.
Envirotainer has avoided replacing more than 11,000 batteries over the past six years by extending the operational life of batteries used in its E-Tech containers, each weighing 37.5 kg.
Originally designed for replacement after six years based on supplier specifications, we introduced a testing programme in 2020 to assess whether batteries could safely remain in service for longer. By reducing our reliance on critical raw materials, we build a more resilient supply chain that is less vulnerable to global resource scarcity.
